Kibble - Ark: Survival EvolvedKibble is an item in Ark: Survival Ascended & Evolved used to tame creatures at the maximum efficiency. Most creatures prefer Kibble made from a specific creature's eggs. To make Kibble, combine eggs with Fiber, Mejoberries, water (using an item such as a Waterskin), and other ingredients (usually meat or jerky and a crop). However, a small amount of creatures prefer a type of food other than Kibble, and some creatures produce eggs that can be used to make a Kibble that is not preferred by any creature.

Kibble Q&A

How do you make Kibble in ARK?

To make Kibble in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved, place a creature egg, Fiber, Mejoberries, water (from a Waterskin, Water Jar, or Canteen), and the remaining ingredients in a Cooking Pot or Industrial Cooker. Each Kibble tier uses a different egg size plus extra ingredients such as meat, jerky, or a crop.

What is Kibble used for in ARK?

Kibble is the most efficient taming food in ARK. Feeding a knocked-out creature its preferred Kibble tames it faster and with higher taming effectiveness than meat, berries, or crops. Kibble is also sometimes requested when imprinting babies.

What are the Kibble types in ARK?

On PC, console, and ARK: Survival Ascended there are six Kibble tiers: Basic, Simple, Regular, Superior, Exceptional, and Extraordinary. Each tier is made from a different egg size. ARK: Mobile still uses the older creature-specific Kibble recipes.

Do all creatures prefer Kibble?

Most creatures prefer a Kibble, but a small number prefer another food, such as Sweet Vegetable Cake. Check a creature's taming page on Dododex to see its preferred food.

Can you use a higher-tier Kibble to tame?

Yes. A creature will eat its preferred Kibble or any higher tier. Using a better Kibble tames at the same effectiveness as the Kibble it prefers.

Where do you cook Kibble?

Cook Kibble in a Cooking Pot or Industrial Cooker. The pot needs water, usually from a Waterskin, Water Jar, or Canteen, or from an irrigated Industrial Cooker.
