Chapter four.
Crimson awoke to feel paws shaking him. “Go away Rosie.” Crimson groaned. But it wasn’t Rosie. “Wake up son.” Fang said. “Wake up quickly.” Crimson rolled over and faced his father. “What is it?” He saw that Amy and Rosie where up but it was obviously still night. “Wha- he began but then he heard it. Growls and sniffs coming from further in the cave. “You need to take your sister and go.” Amy said hurriedly. “Who’s here.” Crimson asked. “Don’t y’all worry about that. Fang said. “Take the back exit.” Amy said. “We’ll catch up.” “Head due east till you come to the tallest winter mountain.” “There you will find some of our distant tribe.” “Stay there we’ll come.” Amy said. “But…” began Crimson. Through the doorway of the sleeping room several huge wolves( fenrirs). “Go!” Growled Fang before launching himself unto one of the fenrirs. Without any more hesitation Crimson grabbed Rosie by the scruff off her neck and they raced through the back tunnels. Behind them they could hear whining and yelping coming from the cave. Finally they got out of the cave. They ran through the meadow into the forest heading east…

Chapter two.
Finally after trodding a short distance they came to the meadow. Here is where most of the wolves that lived in the area taught their offspring to hunt. There were plenty of dodos, jerboas and other prey to practice on. “Now,” began Fang who was demonstrating. “first thing you do is spot your prey.” He motioned to a jerboa. “then you crouch…” they all crouched in the brush so that they were hidden from the jerboa. “The you…. POUNCE!” Fang sprang into the air and caught the squirming little jerboa between his paws. Crimson looked at Rosie. She sat there stunned with awe of her father’s hunting tactics. “Now,” continued Fang calmly. “you finish off the prey.” In one quick motion he bit the jerboa around the neck killing it instantly. “Can I try Dad?” Rosie asked. “Please?” She begged. “Now now Rosie.” Amy said. “I think Crimson should go first.” Rosie grunted then said in a whiney voice: “Fine.” Crimson trotted up to his father. They searched till they found a dodo not far away. Crimson crouched, with his prey in sight then pounced! He landed on top off the Dodo claws first . “Good job Crimson.” Fang said. “Now finish it off.” Crimson took a deep breath then bared his teeth and suck them into the dodo. He could taste the blood seeping from the dodo. He let go. “I did it.” He said proudly. “Good job.” Amy said grinning. “Now it’s Rosie’s turn..”

Chapter three.
They spent the rest of the day hunting. Crimson caught several dodos and some jerboa. Rosie however didn’t really catch much. She either pounced to far or scared the prey off. “ I can’t catch anything.” She complained to her mother. “ it’s OK darling,U just need time to practice.” Amy said encouragingly. Finally the wolf family headed home with their kills. That night they feasted on the meat of all the prey they took the lives of.
Later after dinner Crimson and his family curled up in the sleeping room of there cave. Rosie curled up next to her mother and father. “Mommy?” Asked Rosie. “Hmm?” Amie answered. “Can u sing me a bed song I can’t sleep.” Amy nodded then began. Her voice was sweet and gentle.
“ somewhere over the rainbow way up
high there’s a land that I heard of once
in a lullaby. Somewhere over the
rainbow skies are blue. Someday I’ll
wish upon a star and wake up where
clouds are far behind. Where troubles
melt like lemon drops.”
She continued to sing but Crimson was soon asleep from her beautiful lullaby…

Intro.
Crimson was a dire wolf. He lived with his mother Amy, his father Fang and his little sis Rosie. They lived in a cave in the forest and that is where our story begins…
Chapter one.
Crimson awoke to feel his little sister Rosie jumping up and down on his back. “Crimson,Crimson!” She barked. “The moon’s gone, the moon’s gone the sun is up!” Crimson groaned and rolled away from her. “L-leave me b-be.” He yawned. But Rosie persisted. She came and stuck her snout in his face. “Pls Crimson.” She begged looking at him with her sweet little hazel eyes. “Mommy and Daddy said we can go hunting with them and they’ll teach us how to.” “Fine.” Crimson said knowing she wouldn’t stop till she got him up. Rosie yelped with delight. She raced round and round the room then sat on her haunches in front of Crimson, her tail wagging excitedly. Crimson rolled out of his bed of leaves and stretched. “All right I’m up.” He said gruffly. Rosie ran from the room to the room where the parents were. “Y’all ready to go?” Amy asked. Together the family headed to go hunting in the meadow…

Chapter 4: Beginning Of My End
I rushed through the bushes, cutting through the foliage and retracing my steps back to Shira. The cave lizards pursued as well but they weren’t as fast as I was. When I got there I saw the monkeys with their poles that spat fire aimed at her face, and that power coursed through my veins again. I leapt through the trees, but I was caught in midair by one of the behemoths. They tossed and turned me about, slashing and gnashing at me as well as burning through my scales. I clawed and slashed back, ripping through their scales and inflicting a fatal wound in their chest. They dropped me to the ground and I ran towards Shira. *BANG*
I stopped dead. I looked her in the eye and I saw a tear fall down her face. I looked at my side and saw the blood slowly pouring out of my side. I blinked. I heard the sound of Shira going through them but I couldn’t hear it. She came back round and tried to talk to me but I couldn’t hear her. I saw her crying and I came to my senses.
“Don’t cry… Shira…” I started but she shook her head and said in a desperate voice:
“It’s fine. You’re fine. You’re gonna be ok. Please you- you have to-“ She couldn’t finish her sentence through the tears. I brushed my face against hers and I heard another shot. *BANG*
I looked at Shira as we both saw the blood leak out of her side. She buried her head in my chest and we lay down together. I lay my head on hers as we shut our eyes for the final time. I said to her:
“Now I can spend my time in Rockwell’s plains for an eternity with you,” and she replied, saying:
“At least I’ll be complete in the afterlife, and I know that wherever I am going you are going with me, and with that I know that I am complete.”
We lay there and breathed our final breath together, in harmony as we passed through to wherever it is we were destined to go by our creator. And all I knew was that I was in my final embrace with Shira, and I never wanted it to be any other way. I can only hope that she and I will be safe wherever we find ourselves next, in the afterlife that we were promised.
-The ending! Little sad, but I hope you enjoyed nonetheless.
